FJF Names Chris Seper to Board of Directors

Washington, D.C. (Oct. 14, 2025) – Farm Journal Foundation is pleased to announce that Chris Seper, Executive Vice President of Farm Journal Brands, is joining its board of directors.
Seper brings a wealth of new insight and expertise as a veteran media industry entrepreneur and strategist. In his role at Farm Journal Media, he leads editorial, broadcast, audience development, events, content studios, and product development across the company’s platforms. He previously founded MedCity News, growing it into a nationally recognized voice for healthcare innovation. After its acquisition, he served in senior roles at Breaking Media, the E.W. Scripps Company, and Nexstar Media Group, where he led digital expansion, audience engagement, and connected TV strategies.
Earlier in his career, Seper worked as a journalist with The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Plain Dealer, and contributed as a foreign correspondent for The Washington Post and The Christian Science Monitor. He serves on the board of GrepBeat, coaches with Northwestern University’s Medill Local News Accelerator, mentors startups at MATTER and mHUB, and teaches as an adjunct professor at Roosevelt University.

Seper joins a Board of Directors that includes Board Chairman Andy Weber, retired CEO of Farm Journal; Dr. Olga Bolden-Tiller, dean of the College of Agriculture, Environment and Nutrition Sciences (CAENS) at Tuskegee University; Gregg Halverson, CEO of Black Gold Farms; Lyle Orwig, retired chairman and founding partner of C.O.nxt (Charleston|Orwig); and Bob Trogele, CEO of Verdelis Investments.
