Farm Journal Foundation Names Dr. Olga Bolden-Tiller to Board of Directors

WASHINGTON, D.C.

January 6, 2022 – Farm Journal Foundation is delighted to announce that Dr. Olga Bolden-Tiller is joining its board of directors, bringing a wealth of new insight and expertise as a scientist, educator, and mentor to the agricultural industry’s next generation.


Dr. Bolden-Tiller is the dean of College of Agriculture, Environment and Nutrition Sciences (CAENS) and 1890 Research Director at Tuskegee University. In addition to her administrative duties, she is a professor teaching several courses in animal science, has authored and co-authored numerous research articles published in academic journals, and won several science, teaching, and service awards.


She is also the President of the National Society of Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences (MANRRS), where she works to promote the advancement of agriculture’s next generation of leaders and improve diversity and inclusion in the industry.


“Dr. Bolden-Tiller’s experience as a leading researcher, mentor, and educator make her an excellent fit for the Foundation, as we grow our educational programming and emphasize workforce development,” said Tricia Beal, CEO of Farm Journal Foundation. “We are thrilled to have her join our Board of Directors, and we look forward to benefiting from her advice and deep understanding of how to address challenges facing the agricultural industry today.”

Dr. Bolden-Tiller joins a Board of Directors that includes Board Chairman Andy Weber, CEO of Farm Journal; Board President Charlene Finck, president of Farm Journal; Gregg Halverson, CEO, Black Gold Farms; Lyle Orwig, retired chairman and founding partner of C.O.nxt (Charleston|Orwig); and Bob Trogele, chief operating officer and executive vice president of AMVAC Chemical Corporation.
