WASHINGTON, D.C. (Feb. 26, 2026) – Farm Journal Foundation is pleased to release its 2025 Impact Report, covering milestones and major events from the past year.
Highlights from the report include:
Policy Engagement: Led by our dedicated Farmer and Veterinary Ambassadors, we engaged with federal policymakers in Washington, D.C. and across the country. Our Ambassadors and staff held over 130 meetings with policymakers, and we hosted or participated in state-level events across multiple states. This important work educated key stakeholders about the impact of global food and nutrition security on U.S. national security and economic growth, the need to invest in agricultural innovation to support farmers, and the effects of the rural veterinary shortage on communities across the country.
Thought Leadership: Farm Journal Foundation produced two long-form thought leadership papers in 2025, driving conversations around important global food and nutrition security issues. Our Ambassadors, staff, and partners also participated in speaking events across the country and wrote op-eds on some of the most pressing issues facing agriculture today.
Voice of the Farmer Garden: We were honored to be awarded a new partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to manage the garden space at USDA’s headquarters on the National Mall. The new Voice of the Farmer Garden at the USDA’s People’s Garden is an interactive learning experience showcasing a variety of crops and agricultural technologies that teach visitors about agriculture’s contribution to America’s food security, nutrition, culture, and economic growth.
Veterinary Workforce Development: Our Veterinary Workforce Development program
made great strides in 2025. We added a new high-school educational module to our e-learning program to introduce students to rural veterinary life and inspire career journeys. The number of colleges and universities using our professional development content continued to increase, and two more states joined our State Readiness Program.
