The Farm Journal Foundation Policy Dialogue convenes global thought leaders with key policy influencers to facilitate discussion and critical thinking around the most important issues framing

food and agriculture policy today.

The organization’s most recent effort are three peer-reviewed papers and related briefings that helped to kick off a much needed dialogue on how U.S. Agriculture can maintain its comparative strength, share its extraordinary knowledge and tools and drive economic growth and stability. We believe this can be done while ensuring U.S. competitiveness in tomorrow's agricultural export markets. Illinois State Dialogue: Senator Durbin & Lead Farmer Heather Hampton+Knodle at U of I

Our Illinois, Lead Farmer Heather Hampton+Knodle joined Senator Dick Durbin & Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to tour Realizing Increased Photosynthetic Efficiency (RIPE) labs to learn more about their work improving photosynthesis in order to increase yields and ensure global food security.

Georgia State Dialogue: Senator Sanford Bishop, Lead Farmer Ricky Dollison and several professors at Fort Valley State University.

Senator Sanford Bishop joined professors in a tour of Fort Valley State University Ag Research Center and participated in a panel discussion addressing global food security and the vital role of agriculture research. In attendance were the following: Dr. Archie Williams, Assistant Professor Dr. Cedric Ogden, Adjunct Professor Dr. Mark Latimore, Extension Administrator Ricky Dollison, FFW Lead Farmer David Hong, FJF Director, Government Affairs Tim Fink, Director of Research and Policy Analysis.
